Another week, another brunch! Next up, we have the beautiful, glowing Justine!
works for JP Morgan
pregnant with twins!
Find out how she’s been faring with maternity fashion:
BGIS: How long have you lived in Singapore?
J: About 13 months.
BGIS: What’s been your favourite holiday spot so far?
J: Siem Reap, Cambodia because it was great food and beautiful weather and Pangkil island, Indonesia was a private island which 20 of us rented out!
BGIS: What advice would you give someone moving here?
J: Don’t compare it to other big cities, Singapore’s unique.
BGIS: What’s the best thing about living in Singapore?
J: Proximity to the rest of Asia, great weather and a really good expat lifestyle. It’s easy to make friends.
BGIS: What’s the worst thing about living in Singapore?
J: There’s an over reliance on technology. I’ll look around and everyone’s on their phones. I don’t remember that in Australia.
We ate at The Drury Lane Cafe, a really cool, cosy spot in Tanjong Pagar. Set over two floors, it has a relaxed vibe but can also get quite squashed. It was DELICIOUS. Hands down one of the best brunches Ive had in Singapore. I was attracted by the unusual menu (and a Lady Iron chef thumbs up) and it didn’t disappoint. Only downside, it really isn’t baby friendly, but the pay-what-you-want muffins more than made up for it!
More next week!
