Treasures of Lichtenstein@The National Musuem

I finally dragged myself down to Bras Basah to see this exhibition and I’m so glad I did.

The royal house of Lichtenstein have opened up their  to the world and its full of masterpieces. Here are some of my favourites with a little bit of info on each piece.

Judith with the head of Holofernes, Cristofano Allori, 1613
'Allegory of Vice', Filipo Parodi, 1684/1694
'The death of Adonis', Marcantonio Franceschini, after 1692
'Vengeance is sworn', Francesco Hayez, 1851

I really wasn’t familiar with many of these artists and it was wonderful to see some famous pieces in the flesh. They didn’t disappoint.

The exhibition is FREE and is on till September 29th. You have to see it if you’re in Singapore, I’ll definitely be seeing it again. There are also free classical performances in the gallery on selected days.
